 LAX

My flight was delayed leaving Miami, so I didn't make my connection in Los Angeles on time to get home. They tried getting a small group of us on a couple other flights. At one point we pretty much ran to the other side of the airport, but we were still too late. Ultimately American Airlines put us up for the night at the Westin, and threw in $25 in food vouchers - which I must admit I entirely blew on breakfast: a salmon & tofu eggs benedict with an arugula, asparagus & tomato salad with an orange chili dressing. Best breakfast I think I may have ever had in my life!

I met Juanita Fajita tonight when she wound up in my taxi cab, not once, but twice!

Care for some new wave French synth-pop? Jean-Luc Drion, Dominique Régiacorte and Véronique Oliver were Magazine 60 and this stupid song from 1985 always makes me happy, not to mention it's a shrine for shoulder pads and the mullet.

Alaska, who has been recording since 1977, is still at her best in this one from Fangoria's "Naturaleza Muerta" release.
